AI Model Photoshoot for Clothing: Choosing the Model, Photos vs Video, and Fixing a Single Shot

VrittIQ9 October 20266 min read

In an on-model product photo, the model is the first thing a shopper reads. Before they notice the fabric or the fit, they notice who is wearing it, and whether that person looks like the people they shop with. An AI model photoshoot for clothing lets you make that choice per product, without casting or a studio day. This guide covers the three decisions that shape the result in the FashClick AI fashion photoshoot: which model, photos or video, and what to do when one shot is not right.

What an AI model photoshoot is

You give it photos of the garment and tell it who should wear it. It gives you on-model media: three photos, a short video, or both. Nothing is shot on a camera, so there is no studio, model booking or shoot day to schedule, and a new campaign does not wait for one. For the broader case for on-model imagery without a studio, see AI fashion photography without a photoshoot. This guide is about running one well.

Start with the product photos

Each photoshoot starts with one or more photos of the same product. They are used together, so a front view plus a back view and a close-up of the print or embroidery gives the AI more of the real garment to work from than one shot. Clean, evenly lit photos with the product filling the frame work best.

Alongside the photos you add a serial code, a campaign name, the gender, the season or festival and the category. The campaign name matters more than it looks: the same product can be shot again for Diwali, Eid, Christmas or a summer drop, and each campaign is kept separately rather than replacing the last one.

Decision 1: choose the model for your market

FashClick does not ask you to scroll a gallery of faces. You describe your shopper and it matches the model:

  • Gender. Women, Men, Girls, Boys or Unisex, from the product details.
  • Country. Where the shoppers you are selling this product to are.
  • State or region. Required. It sets the model’s region and refines the final photos, so a product sold mainly in one part of a country can be shown on a model who looks like that audience.

Once all three are set, you see a preview of the AI model before anything is generated. Click it to zoom in. If it is not who you want, change the gender, country or region and preview again. Previewing does not use credits.

Tip: if you sell the same product in two markets, run two photoshoots under two campaign names, each with its own country and region. Both are kept against the product.

Decision 2: on-model photos, video, or both

The media type decides what you get and what it costs. The cost shows before you click Generate.

  • Photos — 3 credits. Three on-model images. The workhorse for product pages, marketplaces and lookbooks.
  • Video — 5 credits. One clip of about eight seconds. Made for reels, stories, ads and product-page video slots, where movement shows drape and flow that a still cannot.
  • Photos & Video — 8 credits. Both, from the same photoshoot and the same model, so your stills and your clip match.

A sensible default is photos for the whole range and video for the products you push hardest. If you do not have enough credits when you click Generate, the photoshoot offers to take you to buy more and remembers your selections while you do, so you only need to add the photos again.

Decision 3: review, fix one shot, download

Open the finished media in the viewer. You can move between the photos and the clip, and zoom and pan on an image to check the print, the stitching and the drape before anything goes live.

  • Regenerate one photo, not the set. If two of three are right, keep them. Each image’s first regeneration is free; after that it is 1 credit.
  • Regenerate the video on its own for 5 credits. The photos are left alone.
  • Download a single image from the viewer, or all of a product’s images at once as a .zip.

Which plans include it

Photoshoot is available on the Free, Growth, Pro and Pay as you go plans. It is not part of Starter; a Starter account sees an upgrade prompt in its place. New accounts get 5 free credits once, which covers a first set of three on-model photos so you can judge the result on your own product.

Where it fits with your product library

If you are shooting a range rather than a single piece, keep the products in the AI Product Catalog. Products there are saved without spending credits, and a completed product opens its photoshoot straight from its card. The bottom line

The quality of an AI photoshoot comes down to good source photos, the right model for the shopper, and the right format for where the media will be seen. Choose the model by gender, country and region, preview it for free, pick photos, video or both, and fix single shots instead of starting over. Frequently asked questions

What is an AI model photoshoot for clothing?

It is a photoshoot where the model wearing your clothing is generated by AI instead of booked for a studio day. You upload photos of the garment, choose who the model is, and get on-model photos or a short video. In FashClick this is the Photoshoot view in the dashboard.

How do I choose the AI model in FashClick?

You set the product’s gender — women, men, girls, boys or unisex — and the country and state or region your shoppers are in. FashClick matches an AI model to that and shows a preview before you generate. Previewing is free.

Should I generate photos or a video?

Photos give you three on-model images for 3 credits, which suits product pages and marketplaces. A video is one clip of about eight seconds for 5 credits, which suits reels, stories and ads. Photos and video together cost 8 credits and use the same model.

What happens if one photo comes out wrong?

Regenerate just that photo and keep the other two. Each image’s first regeneration is free, then it costs 1 credit. The video can be regenerated on its own for 5 credits.

Which plans include Photoshoot?

Free, Growth, Pro and Pay as you go. Photoshoot is not part of Starter.
